Bio
Andre L. Teixeira is President of The Graham Companies, a privately owned real estate company best known for the development of the town of Miami Lakes more than 60 years ago. He joined the company in 2002 and served as Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer for 24 years before being named President in 2026. The company was founded by Ernest R "Cap" Graham, who is also known for proposing the creation of a public university in Dade County that eventually led to the establishment of FIU. Before joining The Graham Companies, Andre held various senior positions at Mars, Pepsi-Cola and Ernst & Young.
Andre graduated from Florida International University with a bachelor's and master's degree in accounting and earned his Florida certified public accountant license in 1995.
Andre has been involved with FIU since 2004, when he joined the College of Business Alumni Circle as a founding member, and has also served on the Master of Science in Finance Advisory Council and the Dean's Council. On the FIU Foundation Board of Directors, Andre serves as Vice Chair. In addition, Andre serves as Chair of the Board of Directors of the Florida Captive Insurance Association and is a board member of the Jewish Museum of Florida. He is also a member of the FICPA and AICPA.
Andre lives in Davie with his wife Michaela, whom he met at FIU and who is also an FIU graduate. They have two sons, Christian and Noah.
